Things You Need to Know... As youth pastors we have seen a great disconnect between parents and their teens.  This creates a dividing gulf that the enemy uses to propagate a spirit of rebellion and contention.  This is not the Will of God.  As it’s not our responsibility to be the primary voice of God in their lives, we encourage you as parents to take an active role in assisting us as we accomplish our assignment.  Our doors are always open.  Please feel free to sit down with us if you have any questions or concerns in any aspect of our youth ministry as it relates to your children. At the River of Life, your child's safety is of the utmost concern.  For this reason, all youth leaders / volunteers are required to undergo a national criminal background check.  Our volunteers are also trained in CPR should a medical emergency occur.  There are times when the youth department will take field trips. During these outings, parents are required to complete a Parental Consent form.  We want to do all we can to ensure your child is in a safe place where they can grow and flourish in a spiritually sound environment.
